Description:
UNESCO Bangkok and the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Centre, a partnership between the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), are coordinating a research study on the topic of “Supporting schools’ and teachers’ use of assessment to inform learning of all students”. The research will showcase four case studies from member organisations from the Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP), a regional platform coordinated by UNESCO Bangkok. The case studies represent a variety of practices documenting promising and effective policies, practices, and lessons learned on how policymakers and education leaders can best support teachers and schools in effectively integrating assessment practices in the teaching and learning process. The case studies also look at how policymakers and education leaders can help to promote and reinforce the formative use of assessment in schools for a more learner-centered and differentiated approach to teaching and learning.
