Presenter:

Natalie Foster is an Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). She works in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) team, mainly focusing on the development of new PISA assessments for each cycle – including the PISA 2018 global competence and PISA 2022 creative thinking assessments – as well as various PISA research and development projects. She has also worked in the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation.

She is a lead author of the “Thinking Outside the Box: The PISA 2022 Creative Thinking Assessment” framework, and editor of a forthcoming publication on “Innovating Assessment”. She holds an MA in Contemporary European Studies (Politics, Policy & Society) from the University of Bath (UK).

Description: For many years, future-oriented educational frameworks or skills rankings have placed creative thinking near the top of their priorities, but comparative evidence on the extent to which students are developing these skills in school is lacking. In its 2022 cycle, for the first time, the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) included an assessment of students’ creative thinking in over 60 participating countries and economies. In this webinar we discuss the PISA creative thinking assessment framework, including what is involved in the assessment and what we hope to learn from the data.

Date: 14 March 2023, 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm Bangkok time (GMT+7)
