Orientation Meeting – Regional study on School-Based Assessment: Policies and Practices in the Asia-Pacific

Background

The Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP) at UNESCO Bangkok, with generous support from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Malaysian Fund-in-Trust (MFIT), is launching a regional study on “School-Based Assessment: Policies and Practices in the Asia Pacific.” The study, by focusing on several countries/jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific region as case studies, aims to look into the policy environment in relation to SBA, gather information on different practices as well as its usage in improving quality of teaching and learning, identify relevant issues and challenges and provide recommendations for future directions in this area.

In relation to this, the NEQMAP Secretariat hosted an orientation meeting for researchers from participating countries from 25-26 February 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.
