Background
The Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP) at UNESCO Bangkok, with generous support from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Malaysian Fund-in-Trust (MFIT), is launching a regional study on “Assessment of Transversal Competencies in the Asia Pacific”, which aims to explore different approaches or practices that countries/jurisdictions of the Asia-Pacific region adopt in assessing these skills and competencies, the challenges encountered in the process, the lessons we could draw from the existing practices in the region and recommendations for future directions in this area.
In relation to this, NEQMAP Secretariat hosted orientation meeting for national researchers from participating countries in the study. The meeting was held from 29-30 October 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.
