National Assessment Policy for Basic Education (NAP)

This Policy provides a basis for assessment of kindergarten, primary, middle, and high school students in all public schools, as well as in recognised private, monastic, and non-state/non government schools that implement the Basic Education curriculum. As the top tier of framework for Basic Education assessment, the NAP lays out a policy basis for specific implementation guidelines and instruments for the conduct of the four pillars of assessment prescribed in the National Education Strategic Plan (NESP 2016).
