This report examines assessment policy and practice in Asia, with a specific focus on Hong Kong schools. Teacher action and practice in broader socio-cultural context that help construct practice is discussed. It provides an understanding of Hong Kong teachers’ response to assessment reforms, identifies characteristics of assessment across the Asia region, and explores the cultural contexts of assessment in the region to identify how such contexts facilitates or restricts assessment practice. |
