This document provides an outline of the curriculum in Brunei Darussalam and how the curriculum will be broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated, and takes into account each individual’s strengths and weaknesses whilst making provision for progression and 3 continuity. It is intended to be responsive to the changes in the society and the economy and will lead students towards life-long education. SPN21 places the learner at the heart of teaching and learning based on an appreciation of the students’ individual needs. Optimal opportunities will be provided to accelerate individuals who can progress faster whereas special guidance will be given to individuals who need help. The Curriculum Framework and model presented in Figure 10 and Figure 11 act as a platform for developing the curriculum and assessment in the new education system.
